There are very few glass artists in the world that have the ability to create such complex levels of life through their work. As a performance artist who made one-hundred and twenty films in a career spanning a mere twelve years and who was awarded the highest honors as a leading actress is a testament to Loretta Yang's way of life. In the last twenty years, she has established the technical foundation for China's contemporary glass art industry and on the international stage, has created an unmatched style for contemporary Chinese glass art.
Her work has been recognized and acquired by key museums worldwide, an indication to her peerless accomplishments. Yet what is most unique is that Loretta Yang has combined the language of glass art with her personal experiences to create a distinctly oriental perspective.

Loretta Yang has rarely taken a break from her work in the last twenty years. From interpretive reproductions to original creations, Loretta Yang says, ˇ°Picturing the benevolent faces of Buddhist figures when I work is more than a creative act, it is a form of deep personal reflection.
Creating Buddhist figures is a tireless act for Loretta Yang. Her work has been acquired by world renowned museums such as the Palace Museum in Beijing, Victoria and Albert in England and Corning Museum of Glass in New York. Loretta Yang is the key component to contemporary Chinese Liuli art and the first contemporary Liuli artist to receive widespread international acclaim.
Andrew Brewerton, the national glass crystal industry's authorized critics, was the Principal of Dartington College of Arts, member of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) Strategic Advisory Committee (Business and Community), Visiting Professor at the University of Plymouth, an Honorary Professor of Fine Art at Shanghai University, and also several other positions within the public art field. He resume his work for 10 years in the galss crystal industry, and published 40 critics and proses about galss industry nowaday.
