Joy is laughter, is happiness, is intrepidity. Joy is cheer of the heart, making yourself comfortable; joy comes naturally and is never forced. It stems from satisfaction. “Satisfaction” occurs from when the standards and expectations set in your heart are met. Material satisfaction affecting the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind do not offer true satisfaction. While they do not incur frustration or low points, they will never bring true satisfaction to the heart. Conversely, if one is to seek or excel in a spiritual state, it is knowledge, emotion, accomplishment,and compassion that can bring greater satisfaction.

Joylessness is due to a lack of satisfaction, often caused by internal conflicts and results in unnecessary unhappiness. To achieve satisfaction, some lower their personal standards and needs while some lower their expectations of others. This is because the “heart” lies at the crux of happiness. Nearing and understanding the truth opens up the heart and lets more in. Please believe that happiness is the treasure trove of fortune in this world. When you bring happiness to others, others will bring happiness to you.
